Devonshire Arms Wedding, Yorkshire

(16-04-30) Sarah & Oliver Wedding - HIGH RESOLUTION 090.JPG

Sarah and Oli planned a fun wedding at The Devonshire Arms, that was also spiced with a hint of seriousness as far as outfits go. They planned a stunning church wedding and black tie event for the evening.

Oli had true calmness about him the whole morning. The jokes with his groomsmen whilst getting ready made the day kick off in a lighthearted and fun way. Later on seeing him standing in the church waiting for Sarah, I could feel his nerves take over. I love the image of him patiently waiting and Sarah walking down the aisle in the background breaking into tears. These little moments make weddings so very real to me. I feel that the whole story can only be told with photographs like these amongst the fun and laughter.

Their wedding continued with the reception at The Devonshire Arms where we were blessed with moody skies in the afternoon and a gorgeous sunset later in the evening. I like to take my couples on multiple small private shoot sessions during the day. Firstly I don't want them to leave their guests for a long period. Secondly, because I believe that the changes in their mood, the weather and the time of day will all add something different each time to the photos. I loved that Sarah was willing to climb a fence in her gorgeous dress to get to the awesome sunset! My kinda bride!

The night kicked off with some shots at the bar and some seriously amazing dance moves from both bride and groom on the dance floor. The freshly baked open fire pizzas from Pizza Loco and the amazing singalong classics kept everyone going late into the night.
