Yorkshire Engagement Shoot, Harrogate

The rolling hills of the North Yorkshire countryside never disappoint. On Nina and Rob's Yorkshire engagement shoot we had the chance again to take in all that beauty and capture the stunning colours along with the scenery.

The amazing thing about engagement shoots is that although we meet our couples beforehand, we still don't quite know them. I always approach the day with excitement and anticipation. It's such a great feeling to find out what makes people tick in front of the camera. To feel what they feel. To get inside their heads. To understand what this whole experience means to them. It's a special connection. It is for me anyway. I love this part of photography. It is incredible to me that I create snippets of that once in a lifetime moment. I want that feeling to shine through my photographs. The way I look at a gesture, a smile, a touch.

After exploring the chilly and ridiculously windy Little Almscliffe Crag overlooking the outskirts of Harrogate, we ventured deep in the forest next to it. Rainstorms were brewing outside. Natural light was creeping nicely through the bare trees. It was truly magical.
